BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – SpaceX launched yet another Falcon 9 rocket on Thursday night from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The launch, a Starlink mission carrying 28 internet satellites to low-Earth orbit, took off from Space Launch Complex 40 at 9:51 p.m., according to SpaceX.
The 45th Weather Squadron had forecast a more-than 95% chance for favorable weather conditions at launch time, diminishing to 85% favorable in the event of a 24-hour delay.
This is the 18th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Ax-2, Euclid, Ax-3, CRS-30, SES ASTRA 1P, NG-21, and 11 Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
